If your computer doesn't allow pop-ups then it may be blocking my site from appearing (it opens in a new window when you click the banner). If you have to just copy and paste the address:

Re: Ertl F-150 on DUBs

A pretty cool F150 you've got there... I'm new to this DieCast thing but used to modeling. I have a new born at home now and DieCast are the new way to go for me for a while. Much faster (not easier)... it's nice to see what you're able to do with those metal body though. Only downside is the underneat of them... not a lot of details found there.

Cheer up guys.

You may find some of the better companies (Kyosho, Autoart, and Exoto) have suitable detail. This may be because they minimize the number of metal parts but they still look very nice.

You forgot Tamiya... which is the company who got me hooked for model kit and they made me switch for DieCast with their F50 Ferrari... in my opinion a VERY complete kit. It's all because of them if I'm not a millionaire !!!!!

HO, by the way, I saw a pretty impressive DieCast in my hobbyshop (couples of month ago)... it was a Corvette C5R LeMans in a big scale... maybe 1/12 or something like that... and was priced 900$... and it's sold !!!!??? Back then I didn't know much about DieCast (well, I'm not a pro today but at least I'd look at the brand...) so I didn't bother but it has the jack and even the red velvet rope scaled to fit with it... maybe you know what I'm talking about ! Maybe it's in your list of great names.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Ertl F-150 on DUBs

I didn't know Tamiya made diecast cars (I assume you're talking 1:18 cars).

I've seen the 1/12 C5-R Advertised around quite a bit, its just a little too pricey for me.

Yup, they do...
Enzo:
Die Cast
Or others... like the f50
Tamiya DC

By the way, how did you tint the front light on the f150... seem pretty curvy to use tinted film !!

Re: Ertl F-150 on DUBs

Those are 1/12s though, I don't consider Tamiya much of a diecast company since they don't make any 1:18s.
