battery for 2.5?
My old battery finally died, it took an alternator with it too, or maybe the other way around. My problem is the battery didn't have any lables on it, and none of my fiero manuals give battery specs.. What rating battery should I use (cca and all that good stuff)? It's a 2.5 85 model. I'd appreciate any help you guys can give me.
Thanks, Greg M |

Re: battery for 2.5?
Any place that sell batteries will have a book that lists recommended CCA ratings for any car. Just tell them what you drive and they'll tell you what battery is best. Off the top of my head, 600cca should be fine.

Rusty unibodies need not apply. 74-79 Ramcharger or 100, slant or no motor - not interested in v8 - Overdrive 4 is a big plus, NO hopeless rust buckets!!! 3Rd gen F body floor pans/camaro door skin (L) Why is it I see so many "Proud to be an American" bumper stickers on the backs of cars made in Japan or Korea??????

Thanks man, I already found one though. Found the specs on the web somewhere. 500ca and 475cca. I wanted an el-chepo, and I knew if I left it up the the battery place they'd try to sell me an expensive one (which they did). So I ended up going to walmart. I appreciate the help though.
Thanks, greg m |
