99 Grand prix dual climate controls
I have dual automatic climate controls. The driver's side works fiine but the passenger side provides nothing but heat even when air is blowing out the the driver's side. Passenger side control seems to dial temp but still responds with heat. Any suggestions?

I had the exact same problem in my '99 GTP. Driver's side A/C was fine, but the passenger side only blew hot air. I took it to the dealer and had it fixed under warranty. I only had to pay my deductible, but the bill was a little over $200, so it would've been a relatively cheap fix anyway.
I can't find my receipt or I'd give you the part number, but let us know how everything turns out

Re: 99 Grand prix dual climate controls
I would put my money on the temperature valve actuator for the passenger side. There are two separate ones on dual control cars, and its what moves the flapper door regulating the heat. the AC Delco part # is 15-72971, the GM dealer # is 89018365. Dealer list price, what they sell to people off the street is $165. you can try swapping sides to test (both actuators are the same part #), if the problem jumps to the drivers side, then the actuator is the problem, if not the control head is probably the culprit. I can sell you the actuator for $90, plus shipping if your local dealer tries to charge you list. Just for reference, the control unit costs $329.99 through me, and is $567.86 dealer list
