2002 Taurus SE Duratec
I just recently purchased this vehicle and have found that the A/C Fan has a nasty habit of being really lazy and not working. Once in a while when I start the car it will come on, sometimes in comes on after a few minutes, and most times it just decides not to come on at all.
If I move the air position dial you can hear things moving, but no air comes from any vents. This is actually my first vehicle and I have no automotive experience so any ideas would be appreciated as to what's wrong? I do know my way around a PC, and know a little about electronics so I am familiar with electronic components and know my way around a multi-meter. Traciatim |

Traciatim,
This is unrelated to a problem of the fan not running but first thing you should do is ensure that you have a clean cabin air filter so the air flow isn't restricted. You didn't mention if you had the auto climate control head or manual but with the manual system, you're on the right track to check the switch it may be dirty or bad. |

Anyone able to locate a Chilton manual that covers models newer than '01?
