Question Type R cams in B18A?

I was wondering if it was possible to put ITR cams in my LS, and if so would it be worth the trouble? Also wondering the same things about gsr and JDM B18 cams as I am able to purchase these at a decent price.

I doubt they would work in your non-vtec head. And no Rating that's not what he's talking about, those clearly would not fit no matter what, it's not even from the same series engine. He's talking about the earlier ITR cams, the b18c5.

Any cams that are for a vtec motor WILL NOT WORK. Your motor is a non-vtec B18A1. Vtec cams will not work in a non-vtec motor, JDM< USDM, Type-R, B16A, GSR, SiR, it doesn't matter....vtec cams won't work in a non-vtec motor.

The best cams for the LS are going to be crower.

JDM B18A's are not VTEC. Dont waste ur time getting JDM non vtec cams. Go get yourself a set of Crower cams. they have different stages, with the most popular one being the Crower 62403 Cams which will give u around a 15 hp gain (accompanied with other mod i.e. intake exhaust and HEADERS!!!) You will also need to puchase the upgraded valveprings and retainiers for your car.
The cams will cost u about $340-$400, Vlave springs about $180 and retainers for $150-180.

I recently purchased a brand new set of valve springs and retainers for my LS for only $188. i baught it on ebay! i love ebay.
Also im gonna get my cams from this guy in Virginia. He's selling em for $339-$349 (depending on where u live)

There wasn't a JDM B18A1/B18B1, thats a USDM motor. And as was already said, the B18A1/B18B1 ARE NOT VTEC MOTORS!!!
