New rims?!?!
I just oredered some 18" Mach1 rims for my v6 mustang. I will be replacing the 16" stock rims. My question is: will this conversion screw up my speedometer and odometer? if so, what can i do about it?
Thanks |

Quote:
Right now (if stock) you should be running around a 225/55/16 tire. The 18" rims are going to increase your outside wheel diameter by two inches...BUT if you reduce the side wall of the 18" tires by, say, going to a 35 or 40 series tire from the tall 55, the overall outside diameter will be about the same (you gain size from the wheel but loose size on the tire) so they offset each other. And the lower profile tire corner better...less sidewall flex...but a little bumpier ride. Hope that helped.
