Re: short shifter

Shorter throw to the shift better feel look nice. A nice short throw shifter and some shifter bushings make the shifting feel great.

I would reccomend a Hurst shifter

Right....I did that with mine, It helps a little but not as significant as a aftermarket synchro killing short shifter.

well a shortshifter can mess up synchros because it takes u less time to shift, and if u slam shift then your not letting the tranny slow down enough for everything to line up accuratley

i think....

True, I've had friends with Hondas have their trannies get messed up because of short shifters. My buddy with an 02 Celica GTS just had his tranny replaced last week because his B&M short shifter messed up his #2 and #3 synchros. He now has a new tranny and put in his old stock shifter.

Try shifting gears by holding on to the middle of the shifter below the shift knob and tell me that there is no difference...

the short shifters messing up synchros...car the people drive ??
you can fuck up synchros with a stock shifter just as easy..imo.
if you dont know how to shift you will fuck something up... and mess it up even worse if your grinding at 6-7k rpm
the only thing i can think of it they dont know how to "shift fast" and grind the shit out of there gears, or do it just enough to fuck it up.
