general cleaning/waxing ?'s
Hey i have a couple ?'s first off do any of you use wet/dry sandpaper on cars? i used it on my boat and it came out sweet but that boat hasnt had a good cleaning in a while plus its fiberglass and i tired it on my car and it just scratch it and had no good compound to use so there still there lol, and what do you guys use/do to clean wax your car like wash, wax, polish, what and hopefully i can get the stuff at pep boys or something lol o ya i heard someone used some kind of sealer instead of wax so it last longer? thanks guys!

Yes,you can usually use sandpaper to buff out small scratches,followed by a good rubbing compound then a good wax.
As for washing the car,I like using a good wash mit that wont scratch,followed by a good wax like meguiars clear coat wax. Of course this is all up to your personal preference. You can find most of this stuff at your local Pep Boys,Auto Zone,etc. Although I could never find any running coumpound where I live... And to answer your last question,you can use a sealer instead of a wax,they usually last quite a bit longer than regular wax's,but with all the stuff they put in wax's these days,once again,its all up to you. |

my sister got an 04 Corolla and they gave her sealer to put on her car.. she only has to put in on twice a year... not supposed to wax it
