according to stephen hawking, space does not go on forever. it is slowly expanding, and will eventually reach the point where it will slow down and contract.
now if you were to reach that point and hit it, while space was contracting, my theorey is that when the cosmic egg was to re-explode (or bang) then when the universe reached you you would become un-timefrozen (or un-spacefrozen) thx.

What is the blackness of space? It confuses me, I mean what kind of physical thing could it be?

Stephen Hawking gave 3 theroies. It is expanding rapidly and will never slow or stop, it is expanding and will slow and collapes in on it self, and that it it's expanding just enough that it won't ever collapes, but just barely.
