timing belt/waterpump change
I'm about to do a belt/pump job at 62,800 miles and was wondering whether I should also change the front crank seal, belt tensioner, and timing belt cover gasket the first time around. Also, which type/brand of sealants/cements for gaskets & bolts?

Had done recently
From what I understand you don't need to change the belt tensioner as on the Sonata when you change the belts. Best off changing anything worn and for what it's worth the water pump and other belts too since your're in the backyard and the cow has left the barn. But the answer and I asked 3 dealers - two of which told me that I had it done incorrectly and needed to be redone - bring the car right in $400+. And one that told me about web tech - the hyundai web site which has all the specs, tools, needed and requirements for any of these jobs. goto Hyundaiusa.com and Web Tech plug in the timing belt change info and that will confirm this answer on the the tensioner. Can't hurt to replace but not necessary. PS. There are actually 2 belts when replacing the timing belt that need to be replaced and I strongly suggest using the Hyundai belts as my tech had problems with OEM. The other stuff is your call.
