Question Snow Tires?

I just picked up my 2004 G35 Coupe. And the day after I brought it home we got 5" of snow and my new car is stuck in the driveway!

It got me thinking, should I get some snow tires for this beast? Does anyone have snow tires on their car? And if so, how much do they really help?

snow tires

I just took delivery of a G35 coupe this week and I am already planning for winter wheels/tires here in S. Jersey. Did you buy any snow tires for the remainder of the winter?

I am probably going to get a set of Nokian RW tires which I had for my earlier BMW 540. They are technically M+S tires but beat most dedicated snows and are quiet and have a 50K warranty.

Thanks for any help.

Were those M+S tires for the 17" or 18" size. Last winter I had to take the bus when it snowed more than 1" :<

I know that they make 17" (that was the size for my 540) but I don't know whether they go up to 18" and that may be a problem.
