Re: vafc??
Best thing I can come up with is the v-afc general wiring diagram and the 88-91 ecu pinout.
PDF File: http://www.apexi-usa.com/productdocu...onics_vafc.pdf ECU Pinout: http://b16a.honda-perf.org/wiringb16.htm Of course you won't be connecting for the vtec or pressure signal. Just hope this helps. |

Re: vafc??
wait a sec. i havent searched into this so i could be wrong. can you use a VAFC on a non VAFC motor? thats why they have the SAFC (for NON vtec motors)and couldnt you go to the manu's web site for instructions? most manufactures supply the installation instructions/ via WWW.

Re: vafc??
oh hey, i think i mis understood when i posted that last night; how about this:
the y8 head is a vtec setup and the pm6 ecu is a nonvtec ecu. do you think he can control the vtec with a VAFC or shouldnt he have a vtec ecu? If the motor can run vtec, why not have it. I think its just not right to have a vtec head and NOT use the vtec. |

Re: vafc??
the VAFC can activate Vtec without having a Vtec ECU.
i had my car runnin on a PR4 for a little while and I still hit vtec... had a 7200rmp redline though.

Re: vafc??
even if you dont have VTEC, you can still use the rpm switched VTEC output wire to run a shift light or something similar. hell, if you had nitrous, you could use the VAFC to trigger the solenoids to spray at a certain rpm.
Its a useful tool. |
