What year rotors will work????

Ok, to start, don't flame me because I'm a civic owner. This is a question about my girlfriends Maxima. She has a 99 GXE and I want to change the front rotors. I saw some that said they were for 89-93, and another set for 94-99. The 94-99 were considerably higher in price. I went to autozone.com and found that the part #'s on rotors matched for all years (89-99) Does this mean I should be able to use the rotors that say they are only for 89-93? Any help would be great. Oh yeah, after driving her Maxima, might be time to trade in the civic. These cars are sick.

95-99 was the 4th gen maxima, so I would think the rotors are different from 94 and lower. I just looked real quick, and all the rotors online are advertised for 95-99.

Thanks for the reply. I understand the generation differences resulting in changes (motor, body, etc.), but were brakes one of the things changed? Based on the information from autozone, if I were to walk in and get rotors for a 91 Maxima, then a set of 99 rotors, apparently they will bring out 2 of the same thing (same part #'s). This is what leads me to believe that if I were to purchase rotors that, while they say are designed for 89-93, in reality will also work on a 94-99. I've also seen listings where the same rotor was applicable for all 89-99. If anyone has any information that proves this wrong, please let me know. Is there any difference between all 89-99 Maxima front rotors?

Re: What year rotors will work????

Autozone.com sells brand new rotors for about 40-60 each with 3 months warranty. Good Luck.
