Didn't see the new Lightning, (please post pictures) but I am sure it is nice. That is my favorite Ford pick-up. Are you talking about the 2005 Mustang GT, which looks like the old Stangs, or the 2003 Mustang Mach I??

go to the gm page, and on there you can use the drag down bar to go to holden.com on the page look under new cars and check out mid size. that car you see is called a ute! but the pic you see is the ugly one! they have a ute ss that has body side moldings kinda like the third gen camaro. but the good news is, it packs a ls-1 and a six speed! now thats a car that can be called a el camino

Actually, *if* the SS ute makes it to the US as the El Camino, it will look more like this
  or like this  These are all on sale in Australia at the moment, and are what they are talking about exporting to the USA. They would be available with a version of the LS1/Gen III V8 seen in the Corvette - tuned to about 340hp

its not an el camino. its a Holden Ute, and will never be titled el camino. it looks like a monte carlo wannabe truck. not good, but not bad

These are all pictures of the Holden Ute.
And they're not that bad. I wouldn't mind owning once...especially with a GEN III LS1 under the hood. Just think would you could do if you added a turbo or two...
