How did you check your incoming fuel flow and pressure? If you did it at the banjo connection on the tank side, you could have a cloged up or collapsed fuel filter.

Re: 91 honda accord with code 43, wont go over 20 m.p.h.

how did u check it at the pump?

u check it in the engine on the service bolt.

its not the exaust, all u will get is a loud sound. if it was clogged it would just flow and not filter.

i think the psi the fuel is at should be umm 28 to 35 psi i think....get a hold of a helms manual. or haynes or whatever, they tell you how to diagnose the system.

can be anything along that fuel system, including injectors.

Blue smoke sucks. i forgot if that was rings bad or something else, i think white smoke is burning oil...but i forgot what blue was.

check your timming.

Also I Did Check Pressure At Fuel Rail It Was Ok, I Talked To The Owner Of The Car And I Asked If It Has Been Using Oil They Said They Have To Add 1 To 2 Quarts A Week, I Did Read Some Were That If The Pcv Valve Sticks Open It Will Use That Much Oil And It Will Distroy And Clog The Converter. At The Tail Pipe The Is Barely Any Exust Coming From It Plus No Sound At All. And They Did Say It Was Louder When They Bought It, So I Cant Loose Anything By Loosing The Bolts At The Pipe To Manifold And Run It, Who Knows? When I Hold It To The Floor It Only Gos To 2500 Rpm Then Drops It Sounds Like The Valves Are Floating. I Heard The Same Sound On American Cars With Cloged Converters Before.

Re: 91 honda accord with code 43, wont go over 20 m.p.h.

i never heard of the converter but if u wanna try it, go for it.

i wonder how is the compression in the engine. change that pcv if u wish. but it wont clogg the converter cause really its just exitingi vapors in the valve cover at a pulse rate. if it is fullyopen your idle will go up and down. if its closed i forgot...

id take it in for a diagnostic. i have an idea on my head but i cant put my finger on it...

i wonder about the injectors...but try things man, maybe it will shape up =)

Good detective work. Thats very common on BMW's but not on Hondas. Cat Converters are an expensive part new, so try salvage yards and see if you can get a used one.
