Arrow First Muscle Car?

hello everybody.

I am a college student who is looking for my first muscle car. My goal is to learn the basics or restoration (i have a few friends and relatives who are very knowledgable about muscle cars who i can gain help from) and have something that i can be proud of in the end. It needs to have a cheap starting price around 1000-5000 dollars.

BASICALLY what i'm asking is what is a good muscle car that i can start out with for a first car that has cheap parts. i'm not going for speed or performance modifications.

i'm aware of all the GENERAL things to look out for when buying a car, but certain details for certain models would be great. THANK YOU!

Re: First Muscle Car?

I would say a Camaro, Chevelle, Cuda, or Firebird.

Re: First Muscle Car?

i've been hearing Nova for cheaper parts since it's chevy and all. WOuld a CUTLASS 442 be too hard and expensive to find parts for (assuming i found one for the right price..)

I would say that "mischa" is on the right track with the Nova. Chevy parts are cheap, ($$$-wise), and plentiful. And if you get really, really, REALLY lucky, a 396 Nova SS would be fantastic!
