sohc vtec modifications

hi guys im a newb at this forum and i just got my accord, im loving it every single day got it for 4k$$ and it has only 64k miles but anyways. this is my question

1) how can you modify an sohc vtec with out turbo? and getting it beyond 200hp?

2) and if you can how much would be the total is and what are all the parts to use in this project?



because i dont really like turbo it messes up your engine i know the have "daily driving turbo" but i dont know i guess its just me

Try these:

1. Cold air intake
2. Header
3. Less restrictive exhaust
4. 60-shot of NOS to tie it all together

This will get you over 200 HP easily (of course, only when you hit that little red button...). But why not just go turbo, if you have the $$? They don't tear your engine up as much as it sounds like you believe that they do.

Might be able to save a few dollars by not getting headers. I've read other threads discussing Vtec exhaust manifold being almost or just as good as headers.
I'm considering turbo'ing my 95 Accord EX. I don't want screw with reliability and need it to be my daily driver. I don't want a lot of HP so boost would be 5-7lb range but want an intercooler. I'm about to dig into several forums to evaluate others' opinions.

Don't know what the specifics are, but after replacing my VTEC header with the DC Sports one, I got a considerable boost in torque... Maybe it was due to the CAI, but the header really seemed to put the icing on the cake...

thanks guys but i dont really trust turbo
i have the current mod

cam gear
cam shaft
cold air intake
headers
high flow cat
hks exhaust
upgraded pulley
super light weight flywheel
and next week im getting the h22 transmission
all this things all add up to the hp i got it dyno tested and i got 195.4 hp. thats seems ok for me
