Just bought a cheapy spray gun

I just bought a cheap spray gun, so I could get the hang of it, and learn the best way to use it. its a badger Model 250. Cost me like 23 bucks at the LHS. Anyone care to give some basic tips for air gunning.

is it ok to make several sprays of colors and let them sit in a sealed jar? that way I can mix alot of colors at once, and not have to worry about running out. I can just recap the mix, and use it at a later time, or should I just make what I need.

is it best to spray washes with a gun, or still use a brush. thanks.

I am starting to want to get more serious into the modeling scene. although my main kick is and always have been scale armor...

all help is greatly appreciated.

yes you can keep your paint in the jar (if it's closed, it won't dry) and for the other question, I don't understand the spray whash thing

If your paint mixes also contain thinner, you might find that the mix doesn't keep for too long. A few days is probably OK but after some time (maybe a month) you might find that the paint has gone "funny" - separated and lumpy. It probably also depends on what sort of paint. Acrylic thinned with water is probably not so reactive as enamel thinned with something volatile.
