How Much Would Decent Brakes Cost For My 89rs. Or What Brand Would You Guys Recomend I Heard That You Could Paint The Brakes Has Anyone Done That

Not sure what the price is for your car but when you find out how much they cost, don't get the cheapest ones (they suck) and don't get the most expensive ones (they tear the hell out of your rotors). You can paint the calipers, not the actual brake pads or rotors. If you do, you have to make sure you do a good job of masking off anything that can't be painted. You DO NOT want to get paint on movable parts, thats why, I wouldn't recommend this.

i went to kragen during my lunch break and they had these ceramic brakes for the front for about 65. the cheapest ones cost about $34, well are ceramic breaks better or should i go for semi-metallic?

are you talkin OEM brakes or performance brakes. i dont remember exactly how it goes, but i think its the more ceramic you have in the pads, the more they will squeel at high temps...

When you say the rear brakes are special order im assuming you have rear discs?? All 1989 cars that had rear disc brakes got the bigger 1LE disc brakes that feature aluminum calipers.
My rear brakes are larger than my fronts! |
