cam gear for D17s?
i'm thinking about getting a cam gear for my civic but don't have a local dyno to balance the motor. are there general recommended adjustments for these? or are they a waste of time and money for the D17s. also if advancing the cam and having an APEXi controller doing the same would they conflict?
thanks ps. which brand gear you like the best. |

Re: cam gear for D17s?
I'll try to clarify
Now are you talking about the AEM CAM GEAR..Cause if so no point getting that it does squat for a D17, just looks even tho you cant see the darn thing. When you swap and have a K20 worry about that. As for a cam for your motor there arent any for the D17. You can however ship yours out to crower and have the regrind it for an arm and a leg. But once again this will not do anything on a D17. Worry about this when your engine is bored and polished with a turbo. Crower however just announces recently I beleive in Honda Tuning they will be producing a stand alone cam for the D17 but there is no date..FYI Crower has been telling 7th geners that for years.. http://www.crower.com/ |
