Can anyone tell me how to get the door panel off of the passenger side? I have power windows and door locks.
Also my passenger door hinge is making a hell of a cracking noise when the door is opened and closed. There are two cracking sounds. I'm thinking it has something to do with the middle hinge. The hinge is visibly "snapping" when the cracking noise appears. Any help to elminate this problem would be appreciated. Thanks |

There is a screw in the door handle; and the arm rest where you hold it, also underneath the reflector; other then that it's a strait pull it's on those multiringed plastic holder bolt things. When you take it off I suggest you disconect the "door open" sensor, so you can listen to music with door open.

Re: 1999 Grand Am Door Panel Removal
I'll try that.
Another question. How do you disconnect the "door open" sensor? Thanks |

Fixed the clanking noise on our own however I still don't know how to disengage the door sensor as you suggested.

Re: 1999 Grand Am Door Panel Removal
If I recall correctly if you pry up the driver's controll panel (windows, window lock, door lock, mirror adjust) it's a blue plug w/ 2 wires 1 blue and 1 light blue; just unplug it from wherever it's connected to.
