S500 Vs Rsx-s

This guy at school is being cocky, he is a honda hater and claims his oversized boat can take any hond/acura on the road. He came up to me and started talking shit about my rsx-s, and now he wants to race for money, his car is completly stock same with mine. his is a 98 MB s500 VS 2003 rsx-s, do you guys think i can beat him????

Re: S500 Vs Rsx-s

Does he have the new S500? My uncle has a new S500 he just got 2 months ago. That car is HUGE and itws very heavy. But, its still pretty quik on the freeway, so maybe he might have a good chance. But then again, your RSX-S is a light weight sports car. I dont know exactly, but I think you have a good chance of taking him. But, I dont know for sure.

Re: S500 Vs Rsx-s

That "oversized boat" is a 315 hp 5.0 V8 beast with monster torque. Granted, he weighs around 1800-1900 lbs more than you- but you're still looking at a 0-60 of about 6 seconds for the Merc as compared to your average of 6.7 secs.

Re: S500 Vs Rsx-s

Its not 315 HP , its only 300 HP. But yea it does do 60 in about 6 and on the free way that car is GONE. Plus it feels SO light, but thats because its a luxury car.

Re: S500 Vs Rsx-s

He got it from Edmunds.com.

You should definitely take him up on the offer! The S500 weighs almost twice as much as the TypeS and it doesn't have twice the HP of the RSX, so let us know when you take his $$. I'd like to see his face when the entry level Acura takes his upscale, expensive Mercedes.

BTW, since he claims he can take any Honda/Acura on the road, I'd like to see him take the TL or NSX, for that matter.

Make sure not to race on the street. Take him to a track if you plan on racing him.

Yeah street racing is definitely retarded. I'm 16 and I can't tell you how many people I know have gotten MAJOR tickets or their licenses revoked.

I'd race him from a slow roll if i were you.

Despite the car's weight, its massive torque will launch him far enough ahead of you, so that you'd have a hard time closing the gap that you lost from the dig; That is unless you are one hell of a driver.
