ABS FUSE --which one is it?--
I'm having some problems with my brakes, and i'm doin some trouble shooting. 99 z71. Which fuse do i pull to turn off the ABS? Ya see, my truck pulsates when i slow down, but i just had the rotors turned and it has only gotten worse. Thanks for your help.

On the OBS trucks, the fuse is under the hood

If your truck is a new body style it's the 60a fuse in the box on the drivers of the engine compartment. Just look at the underside of the fuse box lid as it's got a diagram for you to follow.

Re: ABS FUSE --which one is it?--
The reason I know is because my abs unit failed at a gas station one night and when I restarted my truck the abs motor came on and wouldn't shut off. I'd been hanging around another gm truck forum and seen the problem that the guys were having so I'd already prepared myself just in case it happened to me. Pulling the fuse is the only way to shut the unit off so I had to pull it when I got to the house and I never looked back. One more thing. If you're going to work on your brakes make sure that you crack the bleed valve on the caliper before you try to compress it or you can build pressure in the abs unit and destroy it.

ABS light
I've a 2000 Silverado LS. My ABS light comes on sometimes but there is nothing wrong with the system. What I found is that there is a float inside the brake fluid container and sometimes it sticks. On other occasions the brake fluid starts getting dirty and affects the signal to the sensor. The sensor is held in the reservoir by a plastic clip and is easy to remove. Pull it out and leave the plug connected. Start the truck and see if the light goes out. If it does you have either a bad or stuck float. Try banging on the side of the reservoir to see if it will know the float loose (be careful not to bang it too hard or you'll damage it). Re-install the sensor and see if the light stays off. If it doesn't then you may have to replace the reservoir which comes with a float. Another option is to remove the reservoir and change the brake fluid after cleaning it out. This worked for me. Hope this helps.
