Just got 1st car (89 Cav). Want to supe up! What do you suggest? Here's some stuff...
I just got my first car; I'm sure you guys remember how FAST you wanted it to go and I'm going through that stage now. I bought a 4 cyl automatic red Chevy Cavalier; black racing stripe down middle. I need to make it LOOK fast. I don't want to make it fast because that costs alot of money. I want to make it LOOK fast thats all. Here's what I was thinking...
Clear tail lights Drifting panels (sideskirts, front bumper, rear bumper) Wing (metal looking spoiler) hood scoop roof scoop cool side, hood, and trunk decals rice rocket sounding muffler What do you all think? Any suggestions or anything? THanks!

UH NO dont rice it out. Actually make it fast. It doesnt actually cost that much to swap a five speed and a chevy v6 in there.

It sounds like you know what you want to do
your going to rice it if you dont want to make it go fast what is the point

Omg
good luck finding much for a 88 cavy, if uwant to trick a car out go newer, but if thats all u got, u ant going to find alot for the body, so u might as well go for the motor, paint the car, rims, lower it, but why make it look fast and have people always wantin to race u, and then u have to tell them, well its a piece of shit, and a good looking car dont look like much broke down on the road, and if its a 88 im sure itd been drove hard to, and you will probly dog it yourself since its your first car, id suggest a motor and tranny swap because for all the stuff u want to add, count on spending 3000 bucks probly because that stuff isnt cheap and then u got to make it match the car, and im sure your paint is faded, so look into painting the whole car

Try J.C Whitney they have a lot of body kits for lower end cars. You can also get nice vinyl stripe kits and such fairly cheap. It is your 1st car. Have fun and do what you like. I don't think you are going to hurt it's resale value. Post photos so we can see. You will catch some heat from some people but who cares?
