HEY GUYS, I'M GETTIN A NEW SYSTEM IN MY G20T '94. I WAS WONDERING IF U GUYS HAVE NE PICS OF UR SYSTEMS, SO I CAN GET A LIL HELP ON HOW IT CAN LOOK IN THE BACK. I WILL BE GETTIN A PANASONIC INDASH DVD MONITOR PLAYER, FOSGATE SURROUND, NEW FRONT TEEWWWWWEEEDERS!, A 12IN WOOFER(FOSGATE) AND 2 NEW AMPS... SO I HOPE IT HITS. BUT I'M NOT SURE HOW I WANT THE CUSTOM JOB DONE IN THE BACK, CAUSE I JUST GOT NEW '18s ON THE CAR AND AS U KNOW I WAANNA BE SAFE AND HAVE A SPEAR TIRE, CAUSE WITH THESE 35s U NEVER KNOW. WELL SO IF U GUYS CAN POST UP SUM PICS OF UR SYSTEMS, IT WOULD BE GR8!!!!!

I understand exactly what you mean. I love SPL and SQ...it's pretty hard to get a good combination of the two but I think I managed fairly well. My setup consists of the following:

Kenwood DPX-5010 Receiver (double din - built in EQ, DSP and x-over)
Pioneer 6 1/2"s all around
Power Acoustik Niobium Tweeters in the stock locale (no magnet - 100w RMS)
US Acoustics 4085 (85w x 4 RMS)
MTX RT2200X (to be replaced soon with a JBL BP1200.1 or 600.1)
4 JBL GT1081 (8-ohm 250w RMS - 1000 peak) Subwoofers all in custom sealed boxes
Profile QX-110 X-Over (does the job - it was free)
Lightning Audio 1 Farad Cap

My grand total: $1030 -> 1430 with the JBL 1200.1/600.1 if I get it.

Not bad huh? It sounds really good considering the subs are barely getting driven by that crappy MTX amplifier. It was so weak that I had to switch my amps around and bridge the 4 channel to drive all four subwoofers and use the MTX to run the full range. My future plans is to get a JBL Class D mono amp (to keep the JBL name in the trunk). If I want to go cheap again, I might just get a US Acoustics 800D.

Since I haven't found my sub amp yet I just fabricated a temporary rack that sits in the middle of the upside-down V shape.

I'm more than happy with my system considering everyone that sees it is impressed with the install, sound, and even more impressed with the price.

I WILL post some pics either later tonight or tomorrow to show you how my setup came out.

Take your time and think it through before you go diving into your install. You'll be quite happy with what you end up with. Good luck!!
