civic confusion

Im going to be purchasing a hatch within a few weeks and was wondering if anyone out there could give me the scoop on the civic models... DX,CX,VX and SI i know the si is the cream of the crop but i have been pricing si's and there preety steep, so a dx,cx or vx is in my price range. What is the difference between the three models and what is the best ond to choose?

get dx. it doesnt really matter though they are all d-series motors. meaning all the mods that fit on the dx will also fit on the cx. so it really doesnt matter
