Hey CA. Members, better keep your,...

My stock air filter set up.

I took the 2000 R/T to be California smog tested so I could renew my registration. The first place I went to, the technician took one look at my Intense Performance Stage III intake and told me he wasn't going to pass me. He said that maybe someone else would, but not him. I told him I still had the OEM one and would go home, put it on and come back. When I returned he had two more care cars in front of me. The next two smog stations I went to also had cars in front of me. The last one took me in. He gave the D a hard looking over. I showed him the Mopar C.A.R.B. (California Air Resource Board) approval sticker for the Mopar PPH headers, and he was okay with that. He checked my CAT to make sure that I didn't modify that either.

20 mins and $48.20 later I was out the door with a passing grade. As I was leaving he said it was a good thing I had the Mopar C.A.R.B. sticker to go with the headers, or he wasn't going to pass me.

So, I went right home and reinstalled the IP StageIII and reprogrammed the PCM with my SuperChips Performance program. I'm glad he didn't take a hard look at my FastMan throttle body either.

Gotta Love It!
