Are there 26 splines on an SI Axel ?
I have a DX tranny and just got an SI crx to part out. Just did the rear disk conversion, and am wondering if i should try to tackle the tranny. I dont have any special tools if needed, and am in my driveway. The clutch is pretty new only a couple thousand miles on it so i wont need to to change that. The driverside axel is shot but I found one, it has 26 splines on it and a pink stripe. I need to know if this is the right one b4 i do it or get it done for me. And if anyone could give me a link to a good writeup on the tranny swap i would be highly greatful.

yes 89-91 axels will fit other all other cars but not automatic only standard. Somebody correct me if Im wrong but I thinks thats the way it goes.

as far as i know, its 88-91 DX/SI axles are the same and the different one is the 88-91 STD ones.

oh ya thats right std are different and dx and si trannys are the same MY BAD.
