Angry Coolantlite/ place2get trans. fixed?

Hello- my coolant light is On... had it looked into someone told me i might have a "finiky" sensor, add some water... Did that, sensor went off for a while and then back on. Had it checked out, checked for leaks at Kramer Tire/Goodyear and they found no leaks and they put new coolant in etc. and thought that might help "fresh start". IT CAME BACK ON>>> help me!
Also- noticed shift in Power (have read other posts on this MAF sensor etc. which i will check out) and also some RPM shifting type problems. Dealer didnt do anything about it that helped a while back. Now it is slow to get into gear, basically skips first gear and "jumps" into second. Reverse works. Then it kinda works but after i stop it is slow to move foward, like something is not "catching". After doing this it also was normal one mini trip where i was showing a friend the problem. I have it at COttman transmissions. want to charge me 300 to take it out and look at it. WHERE SHOULD I GO? - Norfolk Va! Desperate, broke, frustrated... ! please help if you can. much appreciation.
thanks so much, Jane
