2000 Bonneville SSSEi

My wife and I just bought a FULLY LOADED 2000 Bonneville SSSEi Supercharged. The thing is wonderful, but a couple of problems are worrying us. The Dome light or Map Light some people call it, it stays on ALL the time. When we are driving, it is on. When it's parked and locked, it's on. I cannot shut it off, and it will kill my battery at some point. Is there a switch for this? Did I turn this on when experimenting eith the controls? How can I turn it off? I am stressing about this. The vehicle has no manual, and my wife is CONSTANTLY bitching about how we are going to get pulled over because of the damn light. I need help. How do I turn it off?
