My trasmission was slipping on my 95 Pathfinder so I had it replaced, now it still doesn't run right and the mechanic now says it needs a new computer. Does that sound right? It seems odd to me that both of these would fail at the same time. Please help, I don't want to get ripped off.

Re: my mechanic wants to replace the computer on my 95 pathfinder
Get a second opinion. One mechanic is not the end-all know-all of Nissan problems.

i too have just lost my reverse gear my car opperates fine but will not connect in reverse my knowledgable uncle said that it could be my ECM not being able to tell the transmission what to do do to the fact that i exposed myself to a bed electrical surge by jumping another car so the mechanic may be correct
