My 95 Grand Am is possessed!! Help!

This car is driving me nuts. I have a 95 Grand Am quad 4, that is bucking like crazy. It almost stalls out then it revs really high. The motor acts like it is going to jump out of the car. I have just had the cylinder head and head gasket done, along with the feul pump and oxygen sensor, so I hope it is nothing to do with that. Does anyone have any ideas? Help me I'm soon going to burn the damn thing.

Re: My 95 Grand Am is possessed!! Help!

Get a priest and use holy water hehe j/k.

Quad 4 Motor is notorious for failing Ignition Coil Housing $60. Parts store would not even sell us a Lifetime warranty on that part and would only give me 3 months warranty.
Replace the spark plugs while you are at it. If the spark plug boot (that connects between spark plug and the ignition coil housing) look damaged or has cracked in them, then replace all 4 of them.
Use a spark plug grease on the spark plug and the boot to form a tight seal to prevent dirt and moisture from getting into the spark plug.

Lightbulb

Had the same problem. It ended up being a Spark plug wire not fully seated in the distributer. When I pushed all the wires down one wire
seated further in the connection. After that no more bucking. Could be a bad plug, wire or spark plug also. Could also be a fuel injector.
If the wires are all ok at both the spark plugs and the distributer,
get some BG 44k fuel additive. It works good for cleaning fuel distibution area.

Have you checked your engine mounts? If any of them are loose, the engine will jump a wiggle all over the place. My Camaro had that problem...And the engine shook like crazy.
