Super Sucker Ram Air... Worth the money?

I just found out about this Super Sucker Ram Air. Has anyone got this kit? It looks like it works pretty, but do you really think its worth the money??

whats up dude. i have that on my 2000 ss. it does get more air,
but i couldnt really tell a differance, but my ss had ram air already.
does yours have ram air? if not this would be a good upgrade for you,
and also get a good flowing exhaust system. sharp car! if you get that
and you live in a dusty area like me, be prepared to check the air filter
about every two weeks cause it will pull in bugs and extra dirt.

Re: Super Sucker Ram Air... Worth the money?

Thanks for the advice, I never even thought about all the crap that thing could suck up. Yeah mine has the stock ram air box. as for the exhaust... I am putting on hooker long tube headers with electric exhaust cut-outs. I had flows on my '94 and i liked them a lot but I decided to try something new with this one.

Re: Super Sucker Ram Air... Worth the money?

the Super Sucker ram air/cai units work great on the LS1 cars. people pick up a decent amount of gain at the track by adding them. they make a block off plate for when you are driving in the rain or in an area you do not want to pick something up. If you are going to run a stock type exhaust on your car (y pipe to single pipe), the magnaflow is a wise choice. If you plan on adding some heads and a cam, get a mufflex (can get it with the spintech!) check LS1 sounds.com for some sound clips of exhausts.
