Removing Gear knob to fit new Momo one

Gey, ive just bought a new momo gear knob, but how do i remove the one that is stock on my 93prelude?

should twist off.. maybe have a small clip also - i dont remember exactly though

Do a google search there are guides and pics on how to remove the shift knob, but have to pull the boot all the way down, and then twist off the shift knob
