A/C not cooling after crashing in the woods!!! HELP ME!!!
After crashing in the woods with my 96 altima the A/C stopped working...
I checked for external damage..but ther wasnt any damage... I checked the fuses in the hood and the ones in the car....but they al worked fine..... the A/C blow only Air and HOT air And theres still A/C coolent inside (134a) I checked it!!!NO LEAK!! anyone any ideas ???? |

something might be blocking the condensor or if those little fins are horribly bent it will blow hot .

I had the same problem with mine minus the crash. Try taking the evaporator and drier out of the car and put in the oven at 350 deg. for about one hour. Let it air cool and install it back in.This will dry out the drier. You can also after taking it out blow compressed air throught the lines to make sure there is not a block. If you do this only one of the lines you can feel air coming out of the other line. I then took mine to a firestone place and had it evacuated and recharged. It seems to have fixed the problem, air has been blowing ice cold for the last two days with no problems.

First of all when ur car is idolin and u turn the air on can u hear ur compressor come on in the engine if so try all that other stuff because usually the lines are blocked up n e way jus like pitsteeler said

you ripped the freon feed line, fix the line and refill your car with freon, cost about $40 bucks.
