More pics from British Car Day

Here are some more pics of the two McLarens and the British Car Day in Brookline. I would of had them earlier but the developing took a while.

hey thanks for those, they are great.
That front compartment on the LM is completely detatchable? not the same on the other f1 derivatives?
Thanks again

Ditto on a great job. Only wish I could have been there to see 'em. I especially like the 09-20 shot of the LM from dead ahead. A big Texas thanks for sharing those with us.

Thanks for the compliments

McLaren Mike- the LM front compartment is completely detachable and the road car front compartment was hinged, with it opening toward the front of the car. Thats about all I can tell you.

My favorite is #10, just because of the reflections on it, it would have been better if the side compartment was closed and the front compartment cover put back on, but oh well

I have a couple more pics of inside the car, just PM me if anyone wants to see them

The rear engine cover on the LM which covers the catalysts is also not hinged. It comes off as a separate piece.

These photos are spectacular. I will never get tired of looking at the LM. The car is just phenomenal in every respect.

Big Thanks!!! to Mr. Selldorff for bringing the cars out and sharing them with what I am sure was a very welcoming crowd of car enthusiasts!

Peloton25- actually the rear engine cover could technically be considered hinged, at least I think. To remove it, you have to remove the necessary screws, etc. Then it swings/rises up on two little arms to about 6 inches above and a couple of inches back from its original position. Then it can be removed from there. I guess that could be considered hinged, but you are the expert on these things so I don't know if thats considered hinged or not.

Actually, I was not aware of that, I only knew that it was held on by those screw-like fasteners and that it could be completely removed. Interesting info that you share.

I would love to see every shot you took of the car, so if you have additional photos of the interior, please share those too.

When I get the time I'll put them up. I do have one question. Before the car was started up, he flicked a switch and then what sounded like fans turned on. What exactly was it that I was hearing?

It's probably better to ask him, but I would suspect that the switch was an ignition switch and the noise you heard may have been the fuel pump priming itself.
