she writes her own music, she can sing, her songs actual have a meaning, and she can play guitar...

and the song complicated actual has a good meaning in it, telling people not to just try to be trendy and popular and instead to be who you are and if people don't care then they suck



and why complain about avril but not sheryl crow? whats the big difference in them besides the type of music they make?

Avril and Sheryl Crow have had their mediocer tunes utterly ruined by the top 40 format. I have hear them played too much.

Still, its better than Allanis Morisette. Her stuff sounds like a washtub full of cats being thrown down the cellar stairs.

It's interesting how a list of songs can give you a pretty accurate glimpse into someone's head at a given time. I haven't been here ALL that long Rep, but it seems that you have had more than your share of trying/complicated emotional times...

Avril can't sing live. I've seen it, and it's not the same as the album at all. Her voice must be heavily mixed on the album, or else it's somebody else doing it. At least she does actually sing live, and it's not samplers like Spears or Aguilera...
