Code 16

I got a code 16. when i start my car i need to floor the pedel and it won't go past 1100rpm. any i deas how to fix this other then buying new injectors. It is a 91 cx(1.5 DPFI)

i have run cleaner through my tank a ton of times

alright, hmm, have u tried re-setting the ECU? i know when i got a code 16 i reset the ECU and let the car idle for about 5 - 7 mins without touching the gas so it can re-learn everything and since then i havent gotten a code 16, only other thing i can think of is use a screwdriver and listen to see if u can hear them coming on, if ones not working right it might be so glogged that the fuel injector cleaner isnt working on it, either that or its dead, if thats the case goto the junk yard and say your looking for interior pieces and then take out the injectors and pocket them, go home and try them

well i read somewhere on here before that u hold the handle of a screwdriver to your ear and the metal piece on the injector and u can hear it working

ok i got used fuel injectors and new plugs and it idles but it is really rough and still won't rev

i am get code 5 how do i fix that?

hmm, well with them being used injectors they might be clogged as well, shoulda told u 2 clean them before u installed them, my bad. also whats a code 5?

Code 3 or 5 Manifold absolute pressure

must have a bad MAP sensor i'm guessing, i dunno where its located however, did u re set ur ECU to get rid of all the codes?

Yea i did reset the thing and know i am getting the new code

crappy, then ur MAP sensor might be bad as well, i think its an expensive part so i dunno if u can get away with a used one or not, and i dunno if u can just soak the injector in a tub of gas to clean them or not, i think thats what i heard, i hope someone else can shed some light on this cuz i'm almost outta answers

any idea where the map sensor is?

its on the firewall its a white plug you cant miss it has two plugs the map sensor is plug right in front and it has a vacuum line underneath, so look on the passenger side of the firewall you can miss it!
