99 SL2 - Dent Resist Panel Query

Folks,

Rear passenger door panel on inside edge leading into door jam has a small crack in it. Its located just near one of the fastener locale that is used to screw & fasten the panel into the metal liner of that particular door.

Besides an expensive replacement and refinish of panel along with the adjacent quarter panel and front passenger door panel, does anyone have any idea how I can fix this small crack? Should I unscrew the fastener in that locale to relieve any tension pressure or will that just make the crack worse with vibrations esp if panel fastener is loose in that area?

Any advise esp from anyone familiar with this kind of problem is appreciated. THe body shops charge alot of $ for labor not to mention the parts

i'm not 100% sure where you're talking about. on a 91-95 sedan/wagon - if its the small metal bar between the rear roll down window and the smaller stationary window, they do sometimes rust out, for a cheapy fix, check a junkyard.

otherwise, ask over at saturnfans.com
