97 sliding door quit
97 silhoutte sliding door stopped working completely. we took it to the dealer who reprogramed the door sensor but that lasted two weeks and it quit again. took it back to the dealer and they said that the sensor will not retain it's codes any longer. to fix problem we would need a new sensor which runs about $1400.00. no thanks! is there any other solutions for this problem other than the dealers?

Junk Yard?
Have you tried searching online for the part, or even taken a look at your local auto salvage yard. Those junk yard owners can find anything...kinda like mice. Good luck on your voyage....don't take it back to the stealership. Find you a local guy, if you aren't able to replace it yourself.
