NEED help, Don't know whats wrong

ok, I got a question that has left a few other DSM owners boggled: more like a problem, here it goes.

Please just bear with the length, I gotta give you the whole incite to get behind the problem.

First off, I think a fuse is busted. When I open my door, the interior light does NOT go on, and nor does the little orange light at the ignition. When I turn my lights on (headlights), half of my dash doesn't work. My guages work, like my speedometer and all; but my heat/AC knobs don;t light. Only the snowflake for the A/C. If I hit a bump hard enough, which we ALL love doing (not), it will go on until I shot my car off again. When the passenger door or trunk is opened, the interior light DOES go on, and so will the light in my dash saying the doors are open, but not if my door alone is.

Second, This is the part im worried about. When Im driving, if I have my seatbelt on or off, the seatbelt light will go on and it will start beeping, and the SRS light will pop on for a second also. ALL MY GAUGES GO TO ZERO. It does this for no more than 5 seconds, then it pops right back up. When their down tho, I can still drive and boost, it just shuts down the gauges, not the car.

It started doing this a week or 2 ago, once in a blue moon. It happened today almost 5 times. Even when I take the key out n pull up the E-brake, the turbo timer will start to count down and it SOMETIMES does it then also. Let me know A.S.A.P what you think. I wanna fix the problem b4 it gets bad.

LAST thing, and I swear im done. 2 Weeks ago I changed my stock T25 for a newer ported T25, and I did the swap with a mechanic friend of mine. But I don't know if that would add to the problem. Thanks - (97 GSX, 5 sp)

Re: NEED help, Don't know whats wrong

1. check all of your fuses, under the dash and under the hood. this is most likely your taillight relay fuse under the hood on the upper left of the box.

2. check all of your wires running to your lights, pay attention to your turn signal light wires next to your UICP where it goes down to the intercooler.

3. check your brake light wires that go to the 3rd brake light. look for frayed wires or pinched ones.

I would say bad ground connections somewhere if it jiggles and goes on or off.

Re: NEED help, Don't know whats wrong

I got a few more crazy things happening since I first posted this problem. I mean WTF, its kinda pissing me off because there are no loose connections and I havn't found any bad ground connections.

1.) My gauges stop workin, I mean rpm/mph/ everything. They shut off and don't pop on again until minutes-hours later.

2.) WHEN my gauges are out, and I park n get ready to get out of my car; my sunroof won't work. It won't work UNTIL the light comes back on and my gauges go back to normal.

Has any1 else ever had this problem? It's really pissing me off. (You know you would be the same if it was ur car)!!!
