Question for The Guys

Ok today Alex and I took one of our good friends out for his birthday. In our travels we saw a young girl (late teens) driving a lowered Accord with an aftermarket dual exhaust. The guys started debating on whether she was driving a boyfriend's car, whether it was hers and did she have the work done or did a boyfriend influence her to do some mods to her car.

So......when you guys see a girl/woman in a fixed up car what is your first thought...is it her car or is it her boyfriends? If it is her car, did a guy influence her to fix it up?

I have had many people look at me like I am driving "the man's" car. I even hung a hawaiian lei with flowers on the rearview mirror so people would know it's a woman's car...even my plate has my name on it. Our friends think I should get a license plate frame that says "It's mine and I fixed it my way."

I choose It's her car, and she fixed it up on her own decisions.
At least I hope so,cause if it's not,she is missing the whole point of fixing up cars.

If I see a chick driving a performance car, Evo, WRX, Batmobile, GTR, whatever, I don't assume it's her boyfriends, but if mods have been done, definately, or at least influenced.

We have many woman drivers over here that drive modded cars from mild to wild!! most times i have found that it has been influenced by maybe her Brother or her Father.........some just read a lot of magazines and make the descisions themselves, i always appreciate a fine looking woman in a hot car!!

Talkin of this my G.F best friend has a toyota corolla for sale, done up with mags kit etc, and in a harlequin paint job, she put a sticker on the back window saying for sale, and the amount of guys that rung up and said how much is your B/F car??

have alook at the Jap drift Vids, and in any performance car mag there is always woman modding up there cars and doing it sometimes better than the guys!!

Well, if it is her car and she did the mods, I hope the boyfriend gets to drive it now and then, otherwise, 3 words come to mind...

I really like to see women/girls/females/chicks getting into the hot rod scene. It is bloody great and wish more would hop on it. Seein a gal in a modded up ride is awesome!

I know of a couple and they always seem to personalize the car to their tastes. It does not matter what I think they are happy and good on them

I see girls in hotted up cars quite a bit, normally I race them (And let them win if they are especially cute)
