Electric Problem! Help!
Ok, I installed some blue led lights inside my vents on my 2001 eclipse a few weeks ago. Pretty sick looking. I thought I did a pretty good job for a first timer. Anyway, Last night I attempted to install some led floor lights. I accidently let the pos and neg touch, which yes, some fuse or something burned. Now My entire dashboard lights nor the other small lights that are in the stereo buttons, hear/ac work. I mean, if I push the ac button, the light does turn green, but it won't light up orange. You guys know what I am talking about. None of my interior lights work except the basic dashboard engine lights, and the mirror lights. The stereo itself works, and the center display as well. I've checked all of the fuses under the hood, and all of the fuses under the driver side. Anyone have any ideas? Please help me out! thanks!

Re: Electric Problem! Help!
Did you chech the fuses in the left side of the dash? On the left side when you open your door, there is a fuse panel right there.

Re: Electric Problem! Help!
Yeah, I checked those fuses as well, and they all checked out fine. I have no clue on what else to check. I called up the dealer, and they quickly told me that they could fix the problem, but that they would charge me 100 dollars! BAH! If they could figure it out in seconds, I'm sure that it is something easy. Does the ECU have anything to do with it? What the heck is the ECU? There is a big white ECU box with the rest of the fuses, but I'm not sure if I should open it up.

Re: Electric Problem! Help!
The ECU does not house fuses. It is also mounted behind your AC fan in the car. where is this big white box?

Re: Electric Problem! Help!
There's a white box that says "FRONT ECU" in the same area where the the other fuses are located under the hood. My cigarette lighter doesn work, so pretty much the only thing wrong with my interior is the dashboard lights. I'm sure that once those start working again, the other lights will work as well.

Re: Electric Problem! Help!
I'd recheck those driver side door fuses again. If you look down the right hand row, second from the bottom, there should be a 10 or 15 amp fuse. Check that one again, as it controls the cigarette lighter and center console lighting.
