Just started Converible wide arch RX7
well i have just started the basic shaping or the convertible rx7 wide arch, its looking pretty rough at the mo, but i have to build it up to more than i need before i can start to remove and shape it all. so this is not its final shape!
Colour is gonna be jet black with chrome 19" rims i think, the wheels will come right out to the edge, and i will be building a hood cover, gonna save the engine for another time and build this kit kurbside. hmmm cant see pic upload or manager bit, so will try later. btw the chassis is off my carbon rx7, new onw will be custom!

yeah, i cant wait to post some pics, this is starting to take shape as one cool car, wide as fuck and low as fuck! plus the convertable look suits it sooooo much

Seriously whats up with AF now? All the attachments from the past don't work. I have to host my pics on Image Station now. What a pain.

hey mate!
Which series rx7 you making? Just asking since Series 6+ never came convertible, so I'm assuming you're just chopping around a bit... Nonetheless, sounds good. Wide arch rx7 would look insano

not sure which series, but its the tamiya rx7 r1 kit, although im not gonna be fitting the engine!.
the major work has been done now i think, just gotta work out a way to incorporate the front lip which is part of the chassis, lots of head scratching there. make no mistake that this baby is wide! and looks great as a convertible, its over 10mm wider or 5 mm each side. that works out to be about 127mm in real life each side! lots and lots of sanding to be done to make it look right. will try and post pics onto the new and less user friendly system

still working out a way to sort my front bumper, i have a feeling that the dremel will come into play here, lol.
