looking at buying a 92
i'm considering buying a 92 with 105k on it. it has had the timing belt replaced at 80k and a new clutch. is there any problems that these miata's have that a person should check out? cosmeticly it's a little rough, it sounds solid he's asking 2k ?

Re: looking at buying a 92
Can you verify it's maintenance history? If so and it's G2G, I'd buy it!!

Re: looking at buying a 92
You will be getting yourself a vehicle that will bring you loads of enjoyment! The 92 is the first model year that I believe Mazda worked out all of the freshman idosyncracies. Specificially, the '90 and some '91s have experienced a genetic, and chronic, problem with the crankshaft snapping. My father-in-law has a 1990 and experienced the issue, and was out $4,200 to make the repair (!).
I own a 1992 with only 40K miles, and I have yet to do anything other than oil changes, brakes -- and enjoy her! Go get it and enjoy this easy maintenance winner. |
