I have both hatches, and I want to take the rear discs off my SI and put them on my CX. I'm almost positive this will work, just want to be extra sure. Will I need to change my ebrake cable over too, or will the CX cable work fine? Thanks guys.

Yes, 92-95 Si rear discs, as well as 92-95 EX rear discs, will fit your 92 CX...94+ Integra rear discs will fit also.

I believe you will have to change the cable as well...

Re: Will 92 Civic SI rear discs fit 92 CX?
Speaking of the Integra rear disc brake to Civic swap, I saw a DIY article on snagging the set of control arms and wheel hub/disc assemblies (intact) off an Integra and installing on the rear of a Civic which had rear drums. I cannot find the %#$&% link to the article, tho. I think time required for an experienced mechanic 3-5hrs, newbie, all day. To me the cool part was doing the swap w/ the brake assemblies largely intact...

It took me about 2 hours at the most, hardest thing was routing the ebrake cable. it is 100% bolt on.

Re: Will 92 Civic SI rear discs fit 92 CX?
Sorry to bring back such an old thread, but I'm looking into this swap also. Any other advice/websites you could recommend for it?
Thanks!

Well, if you are wanting to swap out master cylinders too, the 92-93 Civic HB Si was non-abs (like all 5th gens with drums) but had 4 wheel discs. It had the same sized front rotors as the lower trimed hatchs with drums, but had discs, which are the same size or close to the same size as the ones you are putting on. Don't forget the proportioning vavle, even if you elect to just use your stock master cylinder.

Re: Will 92 Civic SI rear discs fit 92 CX?
hmm... I just got 2001 Integra GSR rear discs for my car, and they came with the prop. valve as well. I was about to install them today but then I found out the same place that I got these from also has the GSR front spindles/calipers/rotors as well. So I was figuring what the hell I might as well get those also, so now I am thinking about going ahead and getting the full GSR brake change over with the master cylinder and everything. The thing is, the GSR all this is coming from had ABS. Can I still use the master cylinder on my car without ABS?

Well, for the brakes, you just install them and don't hook up the ABS lines, since you have none, so that shouldn't be an issue. As for the master cylinder...I have heard it requires some creative fitment to fit the GSR master cylinder anyway, but I have not tried it myself, so don't quote me. As for the ABS master cylinder...I assume you could install it and just not have the ABS hooked up since you have none, but I am not sure. I'll see what I can dig up on that.

Re: Will 92 Civic SI rear discs fit 92 CX?
yeah I already totally removed the abs sensors from the rear brakes. i was cleaning/rebuliding them anyways so i didn't see the need to leave the sensors on there
