1964 Mercedes
I am considering buying a friends 1964 220 SEB (2 door 4 seat coupe) for $3500 (Canadian)
Does anyone here know of them or have an opinion?
The original 2.3? liter engine has been replaced with a 2.9 six cyl, but the original 4 spd std is still there. It comes with the original engine and some spare parts. Its rust free and drives nicely, although it would need the usual maitenance (hoses, belts tune up, fluids) before it could be driven reliably. The interior is mostly very good and the paint shows some wear but is still presentable.
It's a German spec. car which was imported to Canada back in the 1960's, if that makes a difference.
Are parts available for this thing? Is it worth the money?
