Question 99 Silverado/auto locking doors,etc.

hello everyone. i m new to this forum.bought a used 99 silverado 1500 4wd about a month ago.87000 miles.

anyway, i ve heard that there is a way to unprogram the door locks to auto lock after you start it up and drive for a bit. this is annoying.

also,is there a way to get both doors to unlock when you use the fob(keyless entry)? only the drivers side door presently unlocks, then must open the door and hit the button on the inside to open passengers door. meanwhile,i get a glare from the wifey while she s gettng soaked in the rain.

other than the fuel gauge messing up,in need of new sending unit(big bucks) and replacing all the rotors and pads, it runs great, and gas mileage on the highway approaches 21 mpg with a 5.3L.

thanks,eh??
