headlight eyelids and OEM foglights???

wassup peoples... i was wondering if anybody has the APC eye-lids... not the sticker kind... the ones that are actual pieces of plastic u gotta get painted... how do you put them on??? can those be temporary??? any diminished visibility problems (since your covering part of the headlight)???

i was also wondering if anybody knows any sights where i can get the 2000 honda civic OEM fog lights at a cheap to decent price... im not looking to spend more than $200 since i gotta have extra loot to get them installed... i looked into it before and PH members recommended Pilot Automotive (they have the OEM ones... but you have to buy them in a retail chain like Pep-boys... i checked there and they are $230) and to look into Raybrig since they are the ones who manufacture the OEM fog lights (i couldnt find anything on those... or maybe i wasnt tryin hard enough)... thanks for your input...

As for the APC eyelids I had a set on my Sedan for a few...I took them off awhile back as I got tired of them They didn't effect the view from the Headlights or anything while in place they did give it a diff look fromt the front..they attach to the headlight w/ 3M Double sided tape.

the fitment isn't exact but looks decent.

i have the apc eyelids on my car and the fit great. i painted them myself i got some solor matched automotive paint in a spray can and some clear coat. i think i put 5 coats of paint and either 2 or 3 of clear coat on them. i did not use the double sided tape though i used for clear sealer stuff that works like glue but prevents water for getting behind the eyelids it works great.

thanks... that does help alot... i already ordered the foglights from that site... i dun think it can get cheaper than that...

I have a AEM CAI... will i have any problems mounting the foglights??? i dont want the filter hittin the foglight or what not... Im also placing this question in the 92+ civic forum...

esp... what brand of paint and clear coat did u buy?? what's the color match for flamenco black pearl???

well you would have to find that paint somewhere to use on the eyelids to paint them......

I just used some color match paint and some clear on mine...No you shouldn't have a problem mounting them w/ your CAI at all....:frog:

i got the paint at an autozone near my house it was like 4 dollars for a small can. same for clear coat. the color will be in the top of the can mine said the color of my car milano red. but you can also have some places that just have the color code. that is on the inside door jam on the drivers side of the car or it's in the manual i think also.
