Cool New (second hand) megane owner

Hi,
I bought a second hand megane and theres a couple of things I am having problems with.
The airbag light is on all the time... any ideas?
The imobiliser works from the key fob after 3/4 pushes but if I turn off the engine and sit in the car a while , I have to lock then unlock the car again to start it as the immobiliser comes on automatically.. can I change this?
Jac

Re: New (second hand) megane owner

I'm also a new Megane owner, and my airbag light is on as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: New (second hand) megane owner

Hi, I actually had my megane for 3 weeks and took it back. The airbag warning light, I was told by renault, usually stays on like that if the car has been involved in a collision and either a) has no air bag or b) requires a new under seat 'device' that triggers the airbag... both of which were very expensive.
I bought the car from a rather shady car dealership and had a heck of a job getting my money back but im now driving a reliable fiesta so alls good.
